BookWale.com is launching a Second-Hand Book Selling Program in Ahmedabad, where customers can sell their Used Books, Second Books, Pre-Owned Books, and Old Books directly to us. BookWale provides a simple process for book lovers to sell their old books and get fair value. Customers can contact using whatsapp with book details, and we will arrange for a free book pickup. After evaluation, an agreed-upon price will be offered, ranging up to 25% of the original book price. The final transaction will be recorded with an invoice, and payments will be made via cash, UPI, or bank transfer.

Steps to Sell Your Books

1. Submit a Request

(2) Take Photo of books (1 photo of few books so that cover page of all visible) like below image.

  • location/area
  • share number of books
  • category of books like fictional/kids story…

Note: we currently accept Used Books, Second Books, or Pre-Owned Books (minimum 5 books). and We are currently not accepting School, collage, Professional or other course related book.

2. Review & Book Pickup

  • The BookWale team will review your request and provide an estimated price.
  • If accepted, we will schedule a free pickup from your Ahmedabad address.
  • Upon inspection of the Used Books, Second Books, or Old Books, we will finalize the actual purchase price.

3. Payment

  • Once the invoice is signed, BookWale will process the payment via cash, UPI, or bank transfer.
  • we may ask you to sign a voucher or receipt for proof of purchasing book/payment.

A Note from Us

We truly appreciate you choosing to sell your books with us. Before we begin, we’d like to be transparent about how we operate:

  1. We are not familiar with every book — Since we deal with a large variety of books, it’s not always possible for us to know the exact value or demand of each one, so our price estimates may not always meet your expectations.
  2. Our prices need to stay low — We buy books to resell them, so our purchase price has to be lower than the selling price. This is simply how the business works.
  3. We cover logistics costs — We generally offer free pickup and free delivery to buyers. Since we bear these costs ourselves, they are adjusted in both our buying and selling prices.
  4. Second-hand books sell at low prices — Buyers only consider used books when they are priced significantly lower than new ones. This limits how much we can offer you at the time of purchase.
  5. Not all books sell quickly — A large number of books we purchase remain unsold for a long time. Only a small portion sells successfully, which is another reason we need to keep buying prices conservative.
  6. We wish we could offer more — We genuinely want to reward sellers fairly and encourage more people to recycle their books, but the above limitations mean we can only go up to a certain price.
  7. This is a pilot project — We are still improving our processes. You may occasionally face some challenges around communication, pricing, or pickup. We are actively working to make your experience smoother and better with each passing day.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility & Book Acceptance

  • BookWale only buys non-professional books (fiction, non-fiction, novels, biographies, self-help, etc.).
  • We do NOT accept:
    • School, college, or professional course books.
    • Books that are updated or republished frequently (Tax, Law, Academic books).
    • Used Books, Second Books, or Old Books in poor and not readable condition (damaged, torn, missing pages).
  • A minimum of 5 books is required for a pickup request in Ahmedabad.

Pricing & Payment

  • The price offered for Used Books, Second Books, Pre-Owned Books, and Old Books will be up to 25% of the original price.
  • BookWale does not guarantee that all books listed will be purchased.
  • The final price is subject to our evaluation and may not match the customer’s expected price.
  • Payments will be made via cash, UPI, or bank transfer after the invoice is signed.

Other Conditions

  • This program is currently only available in Ahmedabad as a pilot project.
  • BookWale reserves the right to modify terms, conditions, and pricing at any time.
  • The program is intended for fair transactions, and any misuse or fraudulent activity may result in cancellation.
